  3. Public Input on Barrier-Free Inclusive Playground

November 15, 2018, 6:00 PM @ Inver Grove Heights City Hall

The City of Inver Grove Heights is looking to build a barrier-free inclusive playground at Heritage Village Park. Community members are invited to attend a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m., in the Council Chambers at City Hall. At the meeting they can provide their thoughts and ideas about a barrier-free inclusive playground. A brief overview of barrier-free inclusive playgrounds will be presented along with additional information. All of the City’s existing 14 playgrounds are currently compliant with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) but that does not make them completely accessible. A barrier-free inclusive playground allows all members of the community—no matter what their ability may be—a place to play, be active, and have fun! Those unable to attend may provide comments by sending an email to Parks and Recreation Director, Eric Carlson at ecarlson@invergroveheights.org.
